Release Notes - 9/17/2025

Individual Notes Addendums –– The new Notes Addendums feature allows clinicians to add additional information to signed and completed individual notes without unlocking or editing the original note. Each addendum is added to the end of the note with its own timestamp, signature, and author details. This ensures accurate, auditable updates while preserving the integrity of the original documentation. To add an addendum, simply go to the signed note in the notes screen of the client’s chart and click the plus (+) icon in the Actions column. Learn more HERE>.

Custom Alleva Echo Templates –– The new Custom Echo Form Templates feature allows admins to create templates that guide how Alleva Echo structures AI-generated session notes. This ensures documentation is consistent, aligned with clinical standards, and tailored to specific note types for individual, group, and intake sessions. Templates can be built with custom prompts, shared across teams, and selected during note generation for faster, more accurate documentation. To create a new Echo note template, navigate to System Settings > Templates, then click Echo to open the template builder. Learn more about Echo templates HERE>.

Alleva Echo in Intakes –– Alleva Echo is now available in intakes, allowing clinicians and providers to generate AI-powered summaries directly within the Biopsychosocial, Admission Screening, and all Medical Intakes. This streamlines documentation while reducing manual workload. Clinicians can review, edit, and format the summary using standard or custom templates before inserting it into the intake form. Insurance Carved Out Benefits –– A new Carved Out Benefits section has been added to the Insurance module in Alleva. When adding an insurance policy, users can now indicate if the policy includes carved out benefits and specify the benefit type (e.g., mental health, substance abuse, medications) along with the insurance provider name and additional details. This update helps streamline benefit tracking and improve billing accuracy. Learn more HERE>.

Master Treatment Plan Version Display –– For improved clarity, Master Treatment Plan (MTP) versions are now listed by version date instead of version number. In the Treatment Plan screen of the client chart, versions will appear in order from most recent to oldest, making it easier to identify and access the latest updates.

Modifiers and POS Now Included on Superbills –– Superbills in Alleva Billing now include two new columns: Modifiers and Place of Service (POS). This update provides greater clarity and ensures both payers and clients have access to complete billing details.
