Release Notes - 10/22/2026

Enhancements to Authorizations, Service Management, and Demographics in Alleva Billing.

NOTE: Some of these updates relate to Alleva Billing, our revenue cycle management (RCM) tool. To see how Alleva Billing can improve your billing practice, book a demo using this link: helloalleva.com/demo/

  • Authorization by Service Type — The Appointment Type dropdown on authorizations now lists all individual and group note types, as well as daily drop. It also includes two broader options, All Types and All Types Excluding Daily Drop. Because authorizations are now tied to service type, they flow correctly to ETT and allow multiple types of authorizations to be in effect at the same time. Existing authorizations now appear on the Add Authorization page, so you can reference them while entering a new one.
  • Delete Encounters for Voided Claims — You can now fully delete encounters related to voided claims. After a claim is voided in the Claim Management tab, go to Service Management, find the services related to that claim, and select Delete under Actions. This removes them from your queue of work, which helps improve workflow and accuracy.
  • Improved Patient Demographics View — The Demographics page on patient accounts now shows more of the information billers look up most often. You can see the patient’s status (active or discharged), a clearer overview of their insurance coverage, their level of care history, and more, all in one place. You no longer need to switch to the EMR to find it.

If you experience any issues after the update, clear your cache and cookies and make sure you are using the most up to date version of Google Chrome, the best browser for Alleva.
