Alleva Echo in Intakes

How to use Alleva Echo to help complete intake assessments.

Alleva Echo can be used to generate automated summaries of intake sessions by capturing spoken or typed content, streamlining documentation within various intake forms. It is available to use in the biopsychosocial assessment, admission screening, and all tabs of the medical intake.

Benefits of using Alleva Echo in Intakes:

  • Produces objective summaries of client intakes
  • Reduces manual documentation workload
  • Allows editing and use of customizable templates

Echo must be added to intakes via System Settings > Intakes. Select the appropriate intake (BPS, Admission Screening, Medical Intake, etc.) and then toggle ON the "Interpretive Summary" section and save. This will enable echo in that intake. 


How to turn on Alleva Echo in an intake:

  1. Navigate to System Settings > Intakes.
  2. Select the appropriate intake from the dropdown.
  3. Toggle on the "Interpretive Summary" toggle and save.

Done! The Interpretive Summary from echo will be visible in the intake and a new "Start Echo" button will be visible in the intake time section.



How to generate an AI summary in an intake using Alleva Echo:

  1. Open the appropriate intake (admission, biopsychosocial, or medical intake).

  2. Scroll to the Intake Time section and click "Start Alleva Echo."
  3. Choose to record live, upload a file, speak to Echo, or type a summary.

  4. Click "Stop" to finish capturing the session content.

  5. Select a template for the intake note (e.g., DAP or a custom one) and click "Generate Notes" to create the formatted summary.
    *Custom templates can be created in the settings menu.



  6. Click "Send to Note" to insert the summary into the intake form. It will flow into the "Interpretive Summary" section of the intake.




Done!! The echo intake session note will be available in the relevant intake. It will be visible in the print view as well as the edit view.
